Fragile Delivery: Operation Babylift
50th Anniversary
On April 4, 2025 my wife (Tessie) and I returned to the crash site of the C-5A galaxy that went down during Operation Babylift, on April 4, 1975. Well over fifty adoptees returned there for the 50th anniversary as well. Here are some photos and videos of this amazingly rewarding trip. Not only did we visit the crash site together, we also had a wonderful tour guide, who's name was Viet. Viet brought us to the crash site. We visited a memorial that was set up for tourists wanting to see the enshrined wreckage from the C-5A galaxy. Later that evening we attended a gala dinner in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Returning back to the crash site for the 50th anniversary allowed me to come full circle to where my new life began out of tragedy.
